I started hunting when I was 19 and haven’t looked back since. The majority of my time is spent in the back country of Idaho’s Frank Church Wilderness hunting and trapping. I also guide in Idaho’s Gospel Hump Wilderness. While archery elk hunting holds a special place in my heart, I focus heavily on predator management, targeting wolves and bears. I travel the state as a speaker at hunting clinics and events to educate on wolf hunting and trapping. I am outsourced by several ranches to help keep the coyote and wolf populations at bay during calving season. I am the co-founder of the Western Wolf Academy, a course created to educate on wolf hunting and trapping.
Apart from my career in hunting, I also work full time as a Registered Nurse with a background in Neuroscience and Emergency Medicine.
Hunting with KuduPoint
In 2024, between work and family I was struggling to find time to hunt. I had one day to hunt and headed towards a spot a couple miles back I knew held elk. I had had a couple close encounters at first light that proved to be fruitless. By afternoon I began to lose a little faith until I heard a bull bugle I glassed through the trees and about 200 yards away saw the tips of tines raking branches. I got into a position near a game trail that I thought he would take and sure enough he played the script perfectly. As he got closer, he walked behind a tree and I took the opportunity to draw back. At 15 yards I let my arrow fly. I watched my arrow sink into him and knew I had just taken my biggest bull to date.
