Todd Mead

Todd was born and raised on the southeastern edge of The Adirondack Park in upstate New York. After being introduced to hunting and fishing as a child, he found his true passion in hunting, which has brought him across the United States and into Canada to hunt a variety of animals. While the majority of his time in the woods is spent hunting whitetail deer, he also enjoys pursuing elk on a regular basis. These animals have consumed his interest for the last 35 years, also allowing him to hone his skills in archery. Todd is a professional archer, who now competes in the Senior Pro division in 3D events. He was inducted into the NYFAB Archery Hall of Fame in 2024. He has also been featured in Outdoor Life and Field and Stream magazines as well as many regional publications, including Adirondack Outdoors magazine. Besides hunting, Todd also enjoys reading and writing and has authored three books, the most recent one about hunting whitetails on public land, “Pursuing Public Land Bucks.”

Hunting with KuduPoint
After waiting 18 years to draw a special unit elk tag in Colorado, I wasted no time determining which broadhead would be attached to my arrows. After sighting in my single bevel 100 grain Kudu, I felt confident. As one day led into the next during the hunt, I saw a fair share of severe and unpredictable weather, braving heavy thunderstorms and intermittent snow and ice. Finally, as the hunt neared its end, I found a herd of elk above tree-line and mapped out a plan of attack. The next day, I found myself amongst chirping cows and bugling bulls. After making a 50 yard shot and seeing the arrow pass through the 6X6, I felt a sense of relief. The broadhead had gone clean through both scapulas. That’s why I choose Kudu broadheads.

Preferred broadhead: Contour 100gn (right bevel)
